ロータリーの目的

ロータリーの目的　（旧「ロータリーの綱領」）

　ロータリーの綱領は、有益な事業の基礎として奉仕の理想を鼓吹し、これを育成し、特に次の各項を鼓吹育成することにある；

第１	知り合いを広めることによって奉仕の機会とすること
第２	職業上の高い倫理基準を保ち､役立つ仕事はすべて価値あるものと認識し､社会に奉仕する機会としてロータリアン各自の職業を高潔なものとすること
第３	ロータリアン一人一人が､個人として､また事業及び社会生活において､日々､奉仕の理念を実践すること
第４	奉仕の理念で結ばれた職業人が､世界的ネットワークを通じて､国際理解､親善、平和を推進すること

The Object of Rotary

　The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

First.	The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
Second.	High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
Third.	The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business and community life;
Fourth.	The advancement of international understanding, good will, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
